Hello and welcome back to my blog.
Today I'm going to be telling you about a rock hunt that is happening in my neighborhood at the moment. Yesterday I went out with my mum to look for some rocks.
Here are the clues and places I found them.
1 - I’m on Te Rito street and sitting below
a lollipop that’s exactly 4 decades old.
ANSWER: We found the first rock
under a 40 speed sign.

|
2 - I’m in Ruapani Street but I’m feeling the
opposite of full.
ANSWER: We found the second rock in the
middle of the only empty section on
Ruapani Street

3 - If you head north you’ll see me with my
clubs having a whack
ANSWER: The third rock was beside the
golf course.
|
|
4 - I’m in a road made of Tyres but I wish
my “neigh”bours would stop horsing around
ANSWER: This one was a bit tricky but
Mum said that "Dunlops" is a brand of tyres
so we headed to Dunlops Road
where we found a horse paddock!

|
5 - If you “STOP” and look around you may
see me on the ground.
ANSWER: The fifth rock was easy as I
knew where there was a STOP sign.
|
|
6 - There is no roads where I sit, my best
friends are the ducks and pukekos
ANSWER: We walked around the track
beside the lake and found the sixth rock
|
|
7 - if you headed south you would find me
looking at (80+40-3) Metahau street.
ANSWER: I knew that 80+40-3 = 117
and we found the rock across the road
from number 117 Metahau Street
|
|
8 - if you were a goat and I were a troll I’d
surely gobble you up, this is where I live.
ANSWER: The last clue was easy as I
knew to look for a bridge.
We found the eighth rock there!

Did you enjoy this blog post? What do you think was the hardest clue?
That's really cool Beth! What a great neighbourhood to create a rock hunt like that. We are still just looking for teddy bears and now easter eggs in windows. Ava has made a glittery cross to put in ours as well. I think the one about the tyres would be the trickiest!
