Maths T3 W1

Hello and welcome back to my blog.  This week for maths we have been doing problem solving. Our task was to pick between two math questions and finsh one. Me and my math buddy Megan decided to do the second question. The question was, "There are 360 students at St Francis of Assisi School, and 95 of these students are Year 7/8, Kaupeka. Do the Kaupeka students make up more or less than ⅕ of the students at St Francis?" We worked this out in our books and got the answer. Here is the working from my book:

Writing T3 W1

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This week for writing our goal was Use a range of written features to engage the audience, support ideas with detail(use an adverb to show how). We had to read the story Hansel & Gretel and then create creative sentences to write for different parts of the story. We finally had to create a table including examples of verbs and sentences Here is the link to my task:

Reading T3 W1

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This week for reading the goal was Being able to analyse a text and closely notice intentional writing choices authors make has 2 major benefits, it helps your own writing and helps your ability to gain deeper meaning. We had to read the book little red riding hood and then highliting every time there was a *fantastics*. For our create task we had to read several books and find the 9 fantastics in them.
